Charles "Charlie" Brown:

Charlie is a nationally recognized, award winning, airbrush illustrator. He is past president of The Houston Society of Illustrators and is co-founder and acting director of The Houston School of Art & Design. Charlie has been a professional freelance advertising and industrial illustrator since 1975. His clients include all of the major advertising agencies in the Houston area. He has created illustrations for (to name a few) Nasa, Exxon, Schlumberger, Pennzoil, Compaq Computer, Brown Oil Tools, Daniel Industries, Coca Cola Foods, Dailey Oil Tools, Minute Maid Orange Juice, Bowen Oil Tools, Space Craft Incorporated, Abbott Medical, and Weatherford International. Portfolios and original art are available for review at the school.

Shawn Carson, BFA:

Shawn is an alumni of the Center for Creative Studies (aicad.org) Detroit, Michigan. He is also co-founder of The Houston School of Art & Design. Illustrator of the popular children's book, "The Zabbit" (www.zabbit.com). Shawn has created illustrations for Fogerty and Klein Adv., Weekly Penney Adv., G.D.I. & W Adv., Ogilvey Mather Adv., Bozell & Jacobs, Harrahs Las Vegas, Astroworld and numerous private individuals and corporations. He is currently working on another Children's book, an Illustrated biblical story about Noah. His first love, however, is teaching. Shawn is available for freelance and commission works.

Becky Hansen:

Is an alumni of The Houston School of Art & Design. She has won many awards in local and state competitions. Becky's first love is portraiture. She creates glowing portraits with such beauty and depth that they truly capture the inner spirit of her subjects. Whether her works are in graphite, colored pencil or oil they have a soul of their own. Becky is currently assisting in teaching our Children's Programs. She also serves double duty as Office Manager.

Chu Okoli, BFA:

Mr. Okoli is an accomplished artist whose works and exhibits have spanned 20 plus years. He has exhibited both Nationally and Internationally. He is currently exhibiting at the Eastman Gallery in Houston, Texas. Chu recently completed several Murals for Victor Valley Mall in Southern California. He also created a 70' x 14' Mural for a Houston area church. Chu develops his students talents and helps them become more confident in themselves. Chu is available for commercial & private commissions.
